What is the name of the technique which produces a large image made up of smaller images?

I saw this a lot a few years back. The best example I can think of is in the video for 'Changes', where the camera zooms out from one small image.





It reveals loads more small images, and when zoomed out enougth the images combined to give the impression of TuPac (I think it was him).What is the name of the technique which produces a large image made up of smaller images?

It is a form of Photomontage. There are programmes out there that will create an image of your choice out of other images if you are interested in having a go yourself.
